Book Signing at Girard
Author David A. Canton, Ph.D., will discuss his book "Raymond Pace Alexander, A New Negro Lawyer Fights for Civil Rights in Philadelphia" at Girard College on Saturday, June 16. Free and open to the public, this event will occur from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Founder's Hall on Girard's north Philadelphia campus, 2101 S. College Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. 19121.
Canton, a professor at Connecticut College, will also discuss his book on WURD 900 AM radio Friday evening, June 15, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Community partners are the University of Pennsylvania Archives, Philadelphia History Museum, The Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and, of course, Girard College.
Canton will sign books after his discussion, and books will be available for purchase.
