Six-Word Memoirs

The legend has it that Ernest Hemingway was challenged to write a story using only six words. His final product was:

"For Sale: baby shoes, never worn."

Mr. Flanagan's fifth graders decided to try to tell their life stories using only six words. The following are a sample of these stories. (Ordinary rules of grammar do not apply.)

MY CARING FAMILY IS MY LIFE. - Mia

SAD MEMORIES STILL HAUNT ME TODAY. - Semaj

TERRIFIC FAMILY. TERRIFIC SCHOOL. TERRIFIC FRIENDS. - Kaylah

IN SCHOOL, WISH I WAS HOME. - Tiffany

I'M AN EGG WAITING TO HATCH. - Daequan

TIRED ALL THE TIME, HAPPY SOMETIMES. - Remiah

MADE MISTAKES. NOW I AM CURED. - Shawna

FROM TWO PARENTS TO ONE PARENT. - Davaughn
