Campus Safety

The Girard College Public Safety Department serves students, staff, residents and visitors with dignity and respect. The Department serves as the lead for emergency planning and training including the monthly fire drill process and also serves as the first responders for all emergencies including medical. All members are Red Cross certified to provide emergency first aid until the arrival of EMS personnel from Girard College’s Health Services and the Philadelphia Fire Department. The Public Safety Department also has one member that is a Pennsylvania certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
